STEAM

Through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) classes, our students are building the important life skills of problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, leadership and resiliency.  They are also having fun and developing a love of learning.

SCIENCE

With AEF support, Aspen Elementary School has been able to include Mr. G ‘s “Science in Schools” Program in its curriculum for more than 11 years. Bruce Gabow (Mr. G) has been making learning fun for young students with his well loved science demonstrations.

TECHNOLOGY

Technology electives in the school district include coding, aeronautics, robotics–all classes designed to spark interest in STEAM and give students a head start in college and the 21st century job market.

ENGINEERING

Engineering is a key element of many STEM electives and extracurricular activities, such as robotics and aeronautics. Students have the opportunity to learn advanced fabrication using 3D CAD/CAM software, 3D printers, CNC machines and laser cutters.

ART

Visual and performing arts are essential to the development of creativity, resiliency, and self expression. With AEF and community support, we are fortunate to have a strong theater, music and studio arts program in the school district. Our District Theater regularly showcases our talented student performers. Advanced students in our district are able to enroll in IB classes in music and visual arts.

MATH

With support from AEF, the district’s mathematics offerings run the gamut from math tutoring and support at the elementary school  to IB and AP level advanced mathematics and coding electives at the high school.
